TURKEY ROLL WITH PROVOLONE DOLCE AND MORTADELLA BOLOGNA IGP

Ingredients:

1 pack sliced Mortadella Bologna IGP

1 pack sliced Provolone Dolce

5 slices turkey breast

1 full tablespoon green sauce

As needed extra virgin native olive oil

As needed flavoured salt for meat

An alternative to the traditional roast, with a rich and unique taste. Try it!

Directions:

Preheat the static oven to 180°. Flatten the turkey breast out with a meat tenderizer to soften it. Put one slice close to the other on a bake paper then spread them with green sauce and top it with one slice of Mortadella Bologna IGP and one of Provolone Dolce. Roll it up, secure with cook’s string at regular intervals along the length of the roll. Rub it with oil and then with the flavoured salt. Cover a cake mould with an humid bake paper, put the roll onto it and roast in the oven for about 40 minutes.

Variation:

This recipe can be prepared also in a pan. Lay the roll in a non-stick skillet greased with a tablespoon of oil, then cook it for 35-40 minutes at high temperature turning it down often until all sides are golden brown. If needed, pour vegetable broth now and then in order to prevent sticking: this will produce a delicious gravy to be served with the slices of turkey roll.
