Ingredients:

200 gr. flour
25 gr. lard for the dough
25 gr. (1 cube) yeast
1 kg. lard to fry
1 teaspoon sugar
About 80 ml water
As needed salt

Directions:

Mix the yeast and the sugar in lukewarm water and mix well until clumps have dissolved. In a bowl, add the liquid to the flour, the lard and the salt. When the liquid has been fully mixed with the ingredients, put the dough onto a surface sprinkled with flour and continue mixing it until you have the consistency of a pizza or bread dough. Once the dough is ready, cover with a kitchen cloth and let it rise for three hours. After this time it will have tripled its size.
Lay the dough on the surface and flatten it. By using a little knife make large diamonds roughly 5 mm .
Meanwhile, you should have started to heat the lard up In a deep fat fryer pan.
